Helmholtz AI Voucher System

We are implementing the Helmholtz AI Voucher System to provide various scientific support in applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) research questions with respect to tools and methods in data science. All researchers of the Helmholtz Association can apply to enable short term collaborations and exciting projects. 

This scientific AI support will be provided by AI Consultants; these experts will be located at the six different Helmholtz AI units, i.e. Helmholtz Zentrum München (HMGU), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG), Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Each unit will have an AI Consultant Team with a dedicated team leader. The hiring process is underway, there are a number of positions available. We are delighted that the first AI Consultants have started and that the teams will be shaping up soon.

To match requests of researchers with the expertise of AI Consultants, the Helmholtz AI Voucher System is being established right now. We are defining Voucher categories to guide researchers towards a range of scientific support functions that can be accomplished in the timeframe of two weeks up to six months, which is the runtime of the Vouchers. The technical backbone for the Voucher System is currently being set up by Helmholtz AI Central in close cooperation with all local Helmholtz AI units with the first test runs later this year. The final system will be accessible via the Helmholtz AI website.
