Free training courses on ML and DL at FZJ

Are you taking your first steps in the ML world? Is DL your next challenge? Join the PRACE training courses at FZJ and begin your journey

Are you taking your first steps in the Machine Learning world? Is Deep Learning your next challenge? You're at the right place. Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), our Helmholtz AI local unit representing information and key technologies, grants Helmholtz AI members free access (after registration) to its on-site PRACE training courses, which will definitely help you on your quest:

17.02.2020 - 19.02.2020

PRACE-Trainingskurs "Parallel and Scalable Machine Learning"

The course offers basics of analyzing data with machine learning and data mining algorithms in order to understand foundations of learning from large quantities of data. This course is especially oriented towards beginners that have no previous knowledge of Machine Learning techniques.

12.05.2020 - 14.05.2020

PRACE-Trainingskurs "Introduction to Deep Learning Models"

This course provides an introduction into Deep Learning and its inherent ability to derive optimal and often quite generic problem representations from the data (aka ‘feature learning’). Participants should be able to work on the Unix/Linux command line, have a basic level of understanding of batch scripts required for HPC application submissions, and have a minimal knowledge of probability, statistics, and linear algebra.
